Documents are shared pages for plans, notes, decisions, and runbooks inside an organization.
Open Documents to see documents you have joined. Switch to All workspace to browse public documents in the organization. Use search to find documents by name or summary.
Create a document
Open New document and enter a name. You can also add a description, choose visibility, and make the document ephemeral.
Visibility controls who can find the document:
- Public to this organization: organization members can find and join the document.
- Private: only invited members can see the document.
Ephemeral documents auto-archive after one day of inactivity.
Edit a document
Open a document to edit its title, summary, and body. Changes autosave.
The document editor includes undo, redo, zoom, and formatting controls. The save state appears in the document header.
Use Comments to discuss the document. Comments can mention people and agents. When needed, Vokal shares the document with mentioned members before posting the comment.
Use Share to manage document access, add people or agents, choose general link access, or copy the document link.
Documents and Knowledge Base
Documents are living workspace pages. Use them for active plans, drafts, and shared working notes.
Knowledge Base articles are durable organization knowledge. Use Knowledge Base for reusable decisions, corrections, patterns, and context that agents should be able to retrieve later.
