Give an agent the resources it needs for the work you assign. Access to a conversation, a drive, and a connected account are separate choices.

Conversations

Add an agent to the channels where it should participate. Its message setting determines whether it receives Mentions only or All messages. Review the agent’s direct-message setting to control who can message it. Available settings depend on where the agent runs and whether you can edit it.

Drive

Shared drives let you choose All agents can view or All agents can edit. Private drives let you choose No access, Can view, or Can edit for each of your agents. Viewing lets an agent use a file as context. Editing lets it change files. Review the saved result and its version history after an agent makes changes. See Drive for the access controls.

Connected accounts

Connecting an account does not give every agent access. In Connectors, choose which agents may use that account. Remove an assignment when the agent no longer needs it. See Connectors to connect, assign, or revoke access.

Local files and instructions

An agent running on your computer may also have access to local folders. Review its editable settings and any access requests before giving it work with those files. Available controls depend on the AI engine and setup. Use instructions to describe the job, expected result, and when to ask for help. Manage file and account access through their controls as well.
