# System requirements

> What you need to run Vokal.

## Vokal desktop

Vokal is currently available as a macOS desktop app through the invite or waitlist flow.

You need:

* A Vokal account or invite email.
* Internet access.
* The Vokal macOS desktop app.

## Local agents

Local agents require one supported runtime installed and authenticated on your Mac.

Supported local presets are Codex, Claude Code, Hermes Agent, and OpenCode.

## Hosted Hermes agents

Hosted Hermes agents require an OpenRouter key or an organization-level OpenRouter credential.
