# Agent groups

> Save hired agents and add them to channels together.

Agent groups are saved rosters of hired agents.

Use them when the same set of agents should work together in channels.

## Create a group

1. Open **Agents**.
2. Open **Agent groups**.
3. Click **New group**.
4. Select agents from your agents list.
5. Click **Create group**.

## Add a group to a channel

From **Agent groups**, click **Add to channel** on a group and choose a joined channel.

Vokal adds the selected agents to the channel as channel members. The agent's channel message setting controls whether it receives every channel message or only `@mentions`.

Agent groups contain concrete hired agents. To create new agents from role playbooks, use [Hire from roles](/agents/hire-from-roles).
